the catch
60'S COAT

The retromania that's going on in the fashion industry has come to stay for a while. In other words: How could I resist this late 60's coat – especially when it's on sale? We saw a lot of different coats like this last fall when Nicholas Ghesquière, among others, introduced it to Louis Vuitton. Even though we're leaving the 60's a bit behind this season and taking one – or actually two – steps closer to the present, to the 70's and the 80's, I think we'll keep on seeing this shape (AND collar) both on the catwalk and on the streets. And of course the color on this coat, the rusty orange, is already been seen in this fall's collections, which makes this jacket even a better catch. I can't wait to use this beauty with my new pair of flared jeans and a light-knitted turtleneck (or maybe a crispy white shirt) for spring. And for fall? Well, I have three words for you: Leather, layering and denim.
