After his departure from his creative-director position at Hermès last year, Christophe Lemaire has had his hands full with his eponymous label, Lemaire – but still the industry has patiently been waiting for his next move and finally it's announced: Christophe is teaming up with the Japanese retailer Uniqlo. Christophe and his fellow designer Sarah-Linh Tran is to designing a capsule collection for men and woman, debuting this fall. The team is following in the footsteps of Pharrell Williams, Celia Birtwell and Ines de la Fressange among others and are both excited about the new collaboration: "We have always dreamt to work with Uniqlo. Uniqlo designs qualitative and made-for-all garments for everyday life, is also our approach to fashion and the philosophy of Lemaire", said Lemaire and Tran. Christophe and Uniqlo seems like a pretty great combo if you ask me and hopefully the result will be as great as it sounds.
