It's official: H&M's latest designer collaborator is the general (and everyones favorite frenchie?) Olivier Rousteing!
The fast fashion retailer's designer collaboration series is now in its 11th year and Rousteing is following in the footsteps
of a LONG line of high-profile designers. In 2004 it was the one and only Karl Lagerfeld and last year it was everyones
darling Alexander Wang. The past designers have succeeded with transforming their superluxury labels into street market
pieces, but with Balmain's exceptional craftsmanship and the brands high couture level, the job maybe a bit harder don't
you think? Hopefully Rousteing will take what he knows the best – glamour and couture – and mix it with the known
Balmain classics like the blazers, the rough pants and the mini dresses. As he described to Style.com himself:
"I don't want to loose the craftsmanship, and I don't want to lose the richness and the glamour of the house. But I also want
to talk to the people in the street, to different ages. I kept the glamour and richness, but we twisted it. You can fin in the
collection so many different garments. And I think that'a going to be the beauty of the collection."
The collection will include woman's and men's clothes, shoes and accessories and we'll have to wait till November 5, when
the collection hit the stores and websites, to see if Rousteing's little twist will work.
