These years fashion weeks are done, and Paris really knows how to end the fashion month. We've seen a lot of amazing
SS16 shows the past couple of weeks, but let's just say it as it is; french does it better! Balenciaga, Céline, Chloé, Hermès,
Lemaire, Louis Vuitton... The list feels endless! BUT in this endless list there is that one designer that 'literally' made us
take off from Paris – 24 hours before PFW was actually over! – with a what-did-just-happen-fashion-smile on our faces. I'm
talking about Karl Lagerfeld – of course! We've already noticed the past seasons that fashion shows as we knew them are
long gone, but Lagerfeld's SS16 show for Chanel, draw the line even further; we're talking a real life story, that most of us
can relate to, matched with fashion at its best. Woman and men of all nations checked in 24 hours earlier at the Chanel
airport terminal, installed in the Grand Palais, where they were met by situations we all know too well. People milling
around with their suitcases, some of them busy, some of them not. Others just talking. All dressed up in their favorite travel
garments; tracksuits, comfy sweaters, practical flats, caps and of course the well known I'm-too-jet-lagged-for-this sunnies.
But as Karl himself said, this is not reality, this is the idea of how it should look! He showed us how an upgraded – in a
fashion way – airport could've looked like, and let's be honest, it looked just to chic! Well, now we all know how we want
to look traveling next time, but until then; Boarding completed!
